Student Forum Bake Sale Raises Funds for Sister School
On Thursday, our Student Forum sprang into action to coordinate a last-minute bake sale — an idea that had been discussed for a while, but only finalised late on Tuesday. In just two days, students and families rallied together to make it happen, demonstrating the initiative, teamwork, and community spirit we are so proud of at Cobram AGS.
A huge thank you goes to our students for their energy and enthusiasm, and to the parents and carers who no doubt pitched in at home to help supply the delicious treats.
The bake sale proved to be a hit, with almost $250 in notes alone collected on the day. Once final counting is complete, these funds will go towards supporting our sister school, All Saints Samoa, with Year 10 student Peter Everingham personally delivering the contribution on his service trip to Samoa over the Term 3 holidays!
This is yet another wonderful example of our school community coming together to make a real difference. We look forward to sharing the final fundraising total at our whole school assembly next week.
R U OK? Day
On Thursday our school community came together to support R U OK? Day. It was absolutely wonderful to see so many students in yellow attire or wearing yellow accessories. As a community, it's so important that we keep checking in on each other and asking that one question which can make such a big difference in an individual's life.
There are a stack of terrific resources on the R U OK website which cover mental health in children and teenagers, plus practical tips for having difficult conversations with your loved ones or work colleagues. You access these resources here.
We hope all the special men in our school community had a lovely Father's Day last Sunday! On the theme of Father's Day, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to our amazing Cobram Anglican Grammar School P&F volunteers for hosting our Father’s Day Stall last week. The P&F always do a power of work sourcing amazing gifts which creates a special experience for our students when they visit the Stall.
We are also incredibly grateful to the wonderful local businesses who supported the Stall.
