Mother's Day Stall
Year 11 & 12 VCE VM Application Class volunteered to create potted plants for the NCCA Mother's Day Fundraiser. This task involved decision making about matching pot colours, shapes and sizes to either succulents or seasonal flowers. Ms Hatzis taught the group about the importance of marketing strategies to increase interest and sales. They embellished the pots with bright ribbon and bows. She also taught them about arranging goods for sale visually, so that complementary colours are grouped.
It was very pleasing to have most potted plants were sold over the two days. We hope that the significant women who received these gifts appreciate the thought and effort that went into these natural beauties.
Minestrone Soup
Year 11 & 12 VCE VM Application students joined forces to prepare delicious minestrone soup on Friday, exposing them to how simple it is to cook a healthy meal from scratch. Special mention to Leon, Wade, and Ryan. As a side to the soup, Anthony and Skye made a garlic butter with herbs to jazz up the crusty oven baked bread.
Alumni News
Nathan L'Etang who volunteers in the Joseph Centre each Monday, was mentored by Mrs Rogers to work the book borrowing desk.
This was a skill Nathan has been wanting to develop, having worked at Springvale Library for his Year 10 Work experience in 2018.
His dream job in the future is to work in a library.
Artist Extraordinaire
Nathan L'Etang gifted another beautiful large canvas artwork to Nazareth in recent weeks.
It artistically portrays his memories as a VCE VM student in 2020. Thank you to Nathan.
