Principal Message Week 10 - Term 3

To say this term has been vibrant, eventful and filled with many learning experiences would be an understatement. Our school has been a hive of activity. From the many excursions to the Father’s Day/Special Persons Morning, Eucharist celebrations, Parent/Teacher interviews and Sports Days, to Book Week, Science Week, 2027 Prep Come and Play sessions, camp and of course our amazing Art Show. Our calendar has been rich with many opportunities for connection and a sense of belonging in our community. 

Our recent IB evaluation was not only a time for staff reflection, but also a rich opportunity for our entire community to unite around the shared spirit of our learning environment, Where innovation meets heart.

Within the IB framework, being innovative and internationally minded goes far beyond traditional learning it empowers our students to explore real world opportunities and challenges both locally and globally. Our goal at St Columba’s is to spark wonderings, be critical thinking and have a lifelong love of learning. While school life has its busy seasons, our heart sings when we see our students' minds light up with new ideas. The heartbeat of St Columba’s is rooted in pride, shared values and an unwavering commitment to providing your children with the best possible educational journey.

On our last day of term, we will celebrate with Footy Colours Day. Our Social Justice Team has organised this to be a donation day where the money raised goes to the Fighting Cancer Foundation. Our Year 6 leaders have also organised some fun footy activities down at the park. This will be a wonderful way to come together one last time before we head into the holidays. It has been a term full of learning, growth, celebration and joy. I wish all our families a wonderful two week break and I look forward to welcoming you back, refreshed and ready for Term 4!
