Become a Neighbourhood Volunteer and help create welcoming, vibrant and connected neighbourhoods across the City of Melbourne.
As a volunteer, you'll support fun and engaging community pop-ups in local parks, streets and community spaces, helping residents, workers, students and visitors connect with council services, projects and opportunities.
You'll gain valuable community engagement experience, build confidence and communication skills, meet people from diverse backgrounds, and learn more about how local government supports the community. You'll also have the opportunity to travel across Melbourne's neighbourhoods, connect with fellow volunteers and council staff, meet the Lord Mayor and Councillors, and celebrate your contributions through volunteer recognition events and rewards.
No experience is required. We provide induction, ongoing support and monthly training to help you succeed.
