ANZAC Ceremony
Friday 24th April 11:30am
The Miners Rest K-6 community is warmly invited to attend a special ANZAC Service, proudly organised and led by our Year 5/6 students. This important event will be held to honour and remember the bravery, sacrifice, and service of Australian and New Zealand soldiers, past and present.
In the lead-up to the service, students have been learning about the significance of ANZAC Day and its place in our history. They have worked together to create a respectful and meaningful ceremony, which will include poetry, reflections, and the laying of wreaths. Through this process, students have shown great responsibility, empathy, and pride in commemorating such an important occasion.
The service will take place at the Miners Rest Soldiers Memorial, beginning at 11:30am on the 24th of April, and families are encouraged to attend and support our students as they lead this commemorative event. We look forward to coming together as a community to pause, reflect, and show our respect.
