Welcome
As we move into spring, the warmer weather and longer days are a welcome change. Term 3 has been a term of ongoing work on behaviour and expectations, and we thank our families for their ongoing support in reinforcing these standards at home. We'd like to acknowledge the students who achieved a KPA above 3.8 this term, earning themselves a hot chip lunch on Friday of week 8. A very special congratulations to Leah Gruis, Beau Saddington and Jessica Pearson for achieving the perfect score of 4.0!

Thinking Championships
The Year 7 cohort are very much looking forward to our Thinking Championships, which will begin next Wednesday and run through until the end of term. Students will work collaboratively in their teams to solve a range of problems and participate in a variety of fun games and activities.
A special shout-out to Mr Russell White for the time, effort and enthusiasm he puts into ensuring the Thinking Championships are such a success.
Show Your Colours Day
It was fantastic to see so many students dressed in the colours of the teams they support, from local footy clubs to national sporting sides. Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make the day such a colourful and spirited one around the school!
History Day
To celebrate History Day Year 7 students will be participating in a medieval feast at lunchtime and some fun activities on Thursday the 17th of September. Students are encouraged to dress up in historical costumes from ancient times to the WW1 period.
Camp Lost Property
We still have a large number of lost property items in need of a home! Please take a look at the photos below and if you recognise anything belonging to your child, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Common Assessment Tasks
Year 7 students have been completing their Term 3 Common Assessment Tasks (CATs). These tasks provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding of the topics they have been learning throughout the term. CATs are designed to showcase student learning rather than act as traditional pass or fail tests. Students are encouraged to do their best and apply what they have learned, with tasks completed in a supportive classroom environment rather than under formal exam conditions. Results of the CATs will be published on Compass by the end of term. Please reach out if you require assistance accessing them.
Parent, Student & Teacher Conversations
Bookings for Parent-Teacher Conversations will be open on Compass from Thursday, September 10th. If you require assistance with the booking process, please contact the front office. These conversations provide a valuable opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers, discuss their Learning Behaviour Updates, review their academic progress and ask any questions you may have. If you are unable to attend the scheduled Parent Teacher Conversations but would still like to speak with your child’s teacher, please feel free to contact them via email or phone to arrange a suitable time.
