Campus Principal

 As we move towards the end of another wonderful term, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate all that has been achieved across our school community.

The most pleasing aspect of any term is seeing the fantastic learning taking place in our classrooms every day. Our students have continued to challenge themselves, develop new skills and demonstrate resilience in their learning. Whether in literacy, numeracy, the arts, technology or the many other learning opportunities available, our students have much to be proud of. Thank you to our dedicated staff who work tirelessly to create engaging and supportive learning experiences for every student.

A particular highlight this term was our celebration of National Science Week. Students embraced the opportunity to explore, investigate and discover through a range of exciting activities. It was wonderful to see so much curiosity on display, with students asking questions, testing ideas and developing a deeper understanding of the world around them. The enthusiasm and engagement shown throughout the week was a reminder of just how powerful learning can be when students are inspired.

Another standout event was our Footy (All Sports) Colours Day. The day was incredibly well received, with students proudly wearing the colours of their favourite teams from a wide range of sporting codes. What I enjoyed most was seeing the conversations that took place throughout the day. Students connected with one another, shared stories about their teams and engaged in plenty of good-natured sporting discussions. Events such as this help build a strong sense of belonging and community, and it was fantastic to see so many smiling faces around the school.

As always, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment remains a priority. While it is wonderful to see students building friendships and connecting with one another, I would like to remind everyone that we are a touch-free school. We have noticed an increase in students engaging in unnecessary physical contact, often in play. We ask all students to remember the importance of respecting personal space and keeping their hands to themselves. This helps ensure that everyone feels safe, comfortable and ready to learn.

We are also concerned about the inappropriate use of student toilets. Our facilities are an important shared resource, and we expect all students to use them responsibly and respectfully. In response to ongoing concerns, the school will be taking a firmer approach to monitoring and managing toilet use.

As a reminder, the first and last 15 minutes of every lesson are toilet-free times. Students have ample opportunities to use the toilets before school, during recess, at lunchtime and at appropriate times during lessons. Protecting valuable learning time is important, and this expectation helps minimise disruption and maximise engagement in the classroom.

Thank you to our students, staff and families for your continued support throughout the term. Together, we have created a positive, caring and vibrant school community of which we can all be proud.

As the holidays approach, I hope every member of our school community enjoys a well-deserved break filled with rest, fun and time with family and friends. I look forward to welcoming everyone back next term, refreshed and ready for another exciting chapter of learning.
