Australian Air Force Cadets

Want to challenge yourself, learn new skills and be part of something bigger? The Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) is a youth development organisation for teens aged 13 to 18, offering unique opportunities to grow in confidence, leadership and teamwork. At 425 Squadron (City of Ballarat), we cover everything from aviation and drill to fieldcraft, service knowledge, survival skills and more.
We proudly parade every Friday night during school terms from 5:30pm to 9:30pm at the Ranger Barracks in Ballarat, with extra activities on some weekends and school holidays; including survival camps, musician camps, firearms training activities and more.
As cadets, we live by values like discipline, respect, integrity, courage and excellence. Whether you're thinking about a future in the Defence Force or just want to push yourself in a supportive, structured environment, there’s something for everyone in the AAFC.
We're holding an Open Day on Friday 27th June from 5:45pm to 8:00pm and you're invited. Whether you stay for the whole night or just stop in for a chat, you’ll get to meet our team, check out what we do and see if it’s something you want to be a part of.
