Year 11 Retreat Deakin University

Towards the end of October in Term 4, our Year 11 VCE students had the exciting opportunity to visit Deakin University as part of the annual Year 11 Retreat. Students explored the campus, gained a real feel for university life, and heard directly from Deakin student ambassadors about their personal journeys - how they transitioned from high school to university and their tips for staying motivated and preparing for exams.

As part of the day, students also took part in Elevate Education’s Ace Your Exams seminar, where they learned practical strategies for effective study, time management, memory techniques, and staying calm under pressure.

To support students in applying these strategies, follow-up activities will continue at school in the lead-up to exams, helping Year 11s put the Ace Your Exams tools into practice and feel confident for the VCE exam period.
