Term 4
Blackburn High School celebrated another outstanding year in inter-school sport, with students enthusiastically representing the school across Whitehorse Division, Regional (EMR) and State competitions. From sign-ups to final matches, our students demonstrated pride, teamwork and dedication in every event.
By early in the term, our Year 7 and 8 students had wrapped up their Whitehorse Division competitions, which included Tennis and Cricket for both boys and girls. Several teams achieved exceptional success, winning their division events and progressing to compete at the Regional (EMR) level.
Throughout the term, Blackburn High School was proudly represented at EMR level for the following sports:
Notably, both the Intermediate Girls Hockey team and the Year 7 Girls Hockey team progressed through to the State Championships.
We extend a final congratulations to all our dedicated students for contributing to another remarkable year of sport at Blackburn High School. Please explore the photos and individual reports to celebrate more achievements from throughout the term.

On Friday, 5th September BHS Year 8 boys took to the field at Koonung Secondary College in the SSV Whitehorse Division round robin. With no players having club hockey experience the day was all about learning more about the game and enjoying playing a new sport with friends. A very satisfying and convincing 4-0 win in the last game against Koonung was just reward for their earlier efforts and a great conclusion to the day. Rohan was like a wall as goal keeper using his feet to great effect, Ryan D and Chilli were solid in defence, while Karl, Josh G, Ninurta and Josh T worked tirelessly in the midfield. Special thanks to Year 10 Sport Coaching student Iggy C who provided the team with great knowledge and advice from his state level hockey expertise.

Round 2: BHS 0 goals were defeated by EDSC 4 goals
