Chaplaincy Book Fair in October

For the first time ever, our newly elected student leadership team for 2026 were invited to help out at the Chaplaincy Book Fair in Maroske Hall last Friday afternoon.  Those who could attend, put their years of Math study into practice, counting out books for shoppers, charging $1 a book, then making change, packing books into bags and trolleys and even walking books out to cars for the elderly.

Leni and Henry found themselves counting out 161 books for one shopper, whose husband added 70 to their stash – our record sale of 231 books. 

Nash, Henry, Leni and Addison were wonderful ambassadors for Horsham College, chatting to attendees as they flowed through the purchase point.  Thank you team, you were fabulous!

Also enabling the incredible fundraising total of $6015, were the classes who helped set-up the Book Fair last Thursday.  The Chaplaincy Committee are grateful to Mrs B and her 7B class, Mrs Fitzgerald’s Year 8 Textiles and the Year 9 English class Mrs Summerhayes volunteered with.
