Year 12 Students
Our Year 12 students have now completed their final part of their formal education. This week marked the beginning of exams for our scored VCE students. We would like to wish our students the very best for their upcoming exams, but also to all of our students who have embarked on the next chapter of their lives. We would like to remind families that all Year 12 students need to complete the exit process - an exit form can be provided through the Year 12 office. Last week we saw our Year 12 students reminisce in their Primary School Uniforms, with Tuesday being dress up as movie characters. The costumes were incredible. A highlight was finishing the celebration days off with a year level assembly.
Year 11 Exams
Week 6 of this term marks our Year 11 exam period. This is for all our VCE Year 11 students (not VM) and timetables will be available soon. Students only need to be present for their exams during this week, however the study centre is available for students to access. Exams are compulsory. We understand that there might be some clashes due to blockings and Year 12 exams. If this is the case, Year 11 students can work with the Year 11 team to reschedule.
Sunsmart
A reminder that all students need to wear a Horsham College bucket hat at recess and lunch. With UV rays being incredibly high in the Wimmera, the old ‘but the sun isn’t out’ saying just doesn’t cut it and we know that students will thank us in years to come when they start to understand skin cancer.
Completion of VET
A reminder that now VET has formally come to an end, that all students are to attend their timetabled classes on a Wednesday (VM does not have Wednesday classes).
VET tasters
Information for VET tasters have been sent out for year 10 students. If students are interested they need to check their direct messages and speak with Miss McQueen.
School Captains
We would like to thank our 6 candidates that took the time to run for School Captain - our candidates were all exceptional human beings. We would like to congratulate Henry Overman and Nash McKenize who will lead our College in 2026 and our Vice Captains Lexy Wade and Violet McGennisken who will work alongside Henry and Nash as Vice Captains. We have also awarded Lexy Wade and Addison Walter, the role of Senior School Leaders. All six candidates will work together in leading our SRC in 2026.
