Student Leadership

Hey Macleod College community! 

Our names are Zoe Stock and Louise Touchard, and we were recently appointed College Captains for 2026. A little about us; we have both been a part of the Macleod College SRC for 5+ years, working with many people on multiple projects. Our more noticeable work being the introduction of the Year 10 Gold Coast Camp, and changing the PE uniform policy to better accommodate the needs of our peers. 

Alongside us next year we will be working with Rose Lazzaro and Zoe Lethlean as our Sports Captains, Liam Johansen as our Performing Arts Captain and David Nguen as our International Captain. Most importantly, we will be working with all of you, the community, to enable us to help make Macleod College a safe, enjoyable and inclusive environment for everyone. 

Currently, we have been talking about ways to improve student day-to-day experiences. Coming into summer, our older classrooms get really hot so we’ve been working on creating a Macleod College Community Cookbook to raise funds to improve our facilities such as installing new air conditioners in our classrooms. We have also been looking at applying for some environmental grants to enhance sustainability and upgrade the environment of our school. 

We can’t drive change alone, we would love as much help as we can get. If you would like to be a part of making a difference in our school, join Macleod College SRC in 2026.
