Primary Report

Life Education
It has been a busy start to term 4. We kicked it off with the Life Education Relationships and Sexual Health Program. This program gives primary school students the knowledge and skills they need to understand the physical, social, and emotional changes that come with growing up.
With curriculum-aligned, age-appropriate content, these sessions help children explore who they are, build safe and respectful relationships, and manage the changes of puberty in a healthy way. By creating a safe and supportive environment, the facilitators empower students to ask questions, express their feelings, and develop life skills that support their wellbeing and relationships into the future.
Swimming
After a cancellation to our first swimming session, we have commenced the swimming program for 2025. The students were very excited to get started on the first day with all of them coming along prepared with their gear. Thank you to those parents who completed the survey which helps the swimming teachers compose the groups for their lessons.
2026 Primary Leaders
I am pleased to announce our Primary leaders for 2026. Before I do this, I would like to commend the efforts of all the Year 5 students who applied for these positions. They should feel very proud of themselves for being prepared to put themselves forward for the process and conducting themselves very well in the interviews. The 2025 leaders and I were most impressed with their presentations.
After our deliberations and discussion of the students’ responses we are happy to announce our:
Primary College Captain: Penelope Drake
Deputy College Captains: Jack Murray and Xavier Fleiss.
These students have already taken on the responsibility of weekly assemblies and are doing a fabulous job. Congratulations to Penelope, Jack and Xavier.
2026 Preps
We will soon welcome some of our new Preps for 2026 in the Prep Transition Program commencing on Tuesday 11th November. These sessions give the children a taste of what’s to come when they start school next year and help to alleviate some of the anxiety around starting school. Ms Tilly is looking forward to meeting our new little people.
Of course, we have the end of year events coming up including: Meet the Teacher Day, Primary Awards Night, Year 6 Graduation and Movie Day and BBQ. I’m sure the term will whizz by and this will all be happening before we know it.
