Alleluia! Jesus Christ is Risen!
Pope Francis’ Easter Message 2025
“Christ is risen! These words capture the whole meaning of our existence, for we were not made for death but for life. Easter is the celebration of life! God created us for life and wants the human family to rise again! In his eyes, every life is precious! The life of a child in the mother’s womb, as well as the lives of the elderly and the sick, who in more and more countries are looked upon as people to be discarded.”
~ Pope Francis Urbi et Orbi
May - the month of Mary
In the Catholic Tradition, the month of May is dedicated to Mary, Mother of God and time is spent during this month regularly praying the Hail Mary and The Holy Rosary.

As a family, for the month of May, you may wish to create a sacred space with your children at home with a statue or picture of Mary, candles, rosary beads and a cross as a reminder to pray to Mary.
ANZAC Day Liturgy
Thank you to everyone who participated in our ANZAC Day Liturgies to acknowledge those who fought and continue to fight for freedom and peace. We especially thank the students who helped during the ceremony, and Fr Grant for his prayerful leadership.
Thank you also to Mr Jason Meynell for sharing his sister’s story. To our special staff guests, Mrs Rebecca Lorenzin (Australian Navy 2000-2003) and Mrs Shaye Dunstan and Mrs Francesca Major, whose sons are currently serving in the Australian Army - thank you for joining us in this important commemoration.
Lest We Forget.
Year 7 Retreat
Thank you to our amazing Year 7 students for making our Retreat—The Salvado Way: Communities in Christ — such a meaningful and memorable experience.
Together, we walked in the footsteps of our College Patron, Bishop Rosendo Salvado, journeying from St Joseph’s Church in Subiaco to St Mary’s Cathedral in Perth. We saw where Bishop Rosendo Salvado laid the first stone of St Mary’s Cathedral and had a tour of the Cathedral.
To our staff—Miss Shannon MacDonald, Mr Patrick McNulty, Mrs Tracey Burgoyne, Mr Michael Peter, Ms Stephanie Osborne, Mrs Krithika Sundararajan, and Mrs Amrinder Kaur— thank you for your guidance, care, and support of our students throughout the day. You are simply wonderful!
A special thanks also to Henry Milner from the St Joseph’s Camino for your generous support on the day and all the behind-the-scenes work in preparation for this special journey for our students.
Mother's Day Prayer
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of mothers:
for their care, their kindness, and their constant support.
They teach us with patience, guide us with wisdom,
and love us without limits.
Bless all mothers—those here today,
those we carry in our hearts,
and those who care for us like mothers do.
May they know how deeply they are appreciated and loved,
not just today, but every day.
Amen.
Pope Francis' Monthly Prayer Intention
In May, we pray for working conditions.
Let us pray that through work, each person might find fulfilment, families might be sustained in dignity, and that society might be humanised.
