During the school holidays, Nate Lees (Year 2) participated in the AusCycling BMX National Series in Victoria! He and his family flew over to Shepparton BMX Club, and he raced in Rounds 1 and 2 of the competition.
The National series gathers the fastest riders from all over Australia together to compete for the National title. Nate demonstrated remarkable perseverance and talent, making it to the finals on both days. He placed Third in the final for Round 1, and then finished in Fifth place in the final for Round 2.
After some super tough racing, Nate managed to make it into the final on both days, finishing in 3rd place in the final for round 1 then the following day he finished 5th place in the final for round 2.
Nate's impressive performance has earned him the rank of 4th fastest in Australia in the 8 Boys category. We look forward to seeing Nate compete in more national rounds in Adelaide and Sydney later this year. Congratulations, Nate!
