The Kaadadjiny Hub

What's On?

Welcome to another term of news from the Kaadadjiny hub. The hub has started the term off with numerous displays and attractions.

ANZAC Day

The ANZAC display supported students understanding of the importance of this day, not only to say thank you to all past and present service personal but also a way to show how brave these people are who make the ultimate sacrifice to serve our country.

"May the 4th Be With You"

The phrase "May the Fourth Be With You" is a play on words, specifically designed to be used on May 4th, which has become an unofficial holiday for Star Wars fans, called Star Wars Day!

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS)

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, family day cares, childcare centres, bookshops, family homes and many other places around the country.

Now in its 25th successful year, it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6. By facilitating NSS, we aim to promote the value of reading and literacy, and the value and fun of books.

The Kaadadjiny Hub is always open to ideas and displays that help to extend, concrete and support students across the college in their learning, while having some fun. Till Next time, happy reading.
