Cassia 1 & 2 News

ROSE GODDALL, LETETIA POLYCHRONOPOULOS, MAZ WARD & SOPHIE NUGENT

Dear Parents,

The Cassia garden is alive with play as the children enjoy the magic of the cooler weather and bright sunshine. A reminder to dress your children warmly and in layers. This way they can peel off a layer or two when as it warms up throughout the day. Also, in front of each Cassia classroom there is a slipper rack for children to bring in flexible slippers for morning circle and inside play. When the children have warm feet and bodies they can regulate and engage much more ably in classroom play and practices, it also feels lovely to be warm and snug on cool mornings. Please dress your children in closed shoes and socks for their arrival at school so they can start the day warm and ready. Children will now wear shoes in all outside play to keep this key part of our philosophy of the importance of warmth in the early years aligned.

Our menu reflects warmth also as we are eating warm porridge on bushwalking days and will soon begin eating cooked spinach pie. If any families have chickens and could donate a couple of eggs a week this would be much appreciated. It is wonderful to eat fresh eggs and for the children to see colour and size variations in eggs as they prepare the pie. See Rose or Maz to let us know.

The Autumn Fair Day is approaching, and our Cassia classes are responsible for sorting donations. If you have not yet signed up to help with this, please do so by following this link or filling out the clipboard in front of each classroom.
