Division Cross Country

Seven students represented themselves and CSPS last Thursday at the Division Cross Country at Karkarook Park. Congratulations to you all!

Jarrod B (Y6) who came 10th and Yuval B (Y4) who came 5th have progressed to the Regional Cross Country which will be held in Hastings on June 12. A fantastic achievement and we wish you the very best from everyone at CSPS.

“It was a fun, competitive day running around a beautiful lake. The atmosphere was loud and strong. Every person that was there was really into it. I came 11th, one place outside of making it to regionals.” Josh G, Year 4

“It was a day of good sportsmanship. A lot of people congratulated each other. There was a lot of encouragement from parents and teachers on the course. I believe that no matter where you came it was a great achievement to make it to division.’ Lior O, Year 6

“It was a great atmosphere at the start. I was very nervous but so was everyone else. I was proud to get to division. It was a tough, hard run. Everyone runs really fast for the whole race.” Charlotte S, Year 4

“It was great conditions for running. I was proud of myself for making it to division and doing my best and that’s what I hope everyone else felt like.” Niah V, Year 3

“I was very nervous before my race. I looked at all the girls in the race before mine so I knew about the course. I did a lot of stretches before my race and I felt proud of myself during the race as I was in the top 20. In the last 100m everyone started to tire, and I started my sprint and got up to 5th place. I am looking forward to going to the regional cross country.” Yuval B, Year 4

“It was fun and really hard. The girls in my race were really encouraging to each other.” Leni S, Year 5

“It was a really good experience. I got my best time of 10 mins and 23 seconds for 3km. Everyone was very fast. I came 10th which means now I go onto regionals. After the race I felt very proud of myself.” Jarrod B, Year 6

Team Vic AFL

Congratulations to Patrick H (Y5) and Blake C (Y6) for progressing through the first two rounds of trials for the Team Vic. Australian Rules Football team. Congratulations on your selection and we wish you the best of luck for the next round of selections.
