Eastern Metropolitan Region Athletics Championships 

On Thursday 18th October, we were fortunate enough to have Hirun (6D), William (6A) and Shiv (4B), represent our school at the Eastern Metropolitan Region (EMR) Track and Field Championships at the Doncaster Athletics Track. This is an extremely high level of competition, with athletes having already progressed through the GWPS, District and Division events throughout the year. We are proud to announce the following results:

• Hirun, 2nd place, 80m Hurdles (qualifies for state finals)
• William, 2nd place, Long Jump (qualifies for state finals)
• William 4th place, 100m
• Shiv, 4th place 80m Hurdles

These are outstanding achievements from all competitors, with Hirun and William qualifying for the Victorian State Track and Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium on Wednesday 1st November. We wish Hirun and William all the best as they compete to be state champions!
