Kids Corner

The Kids Corner section of this fortnight’s newsletter have been written by Ranveer, one of our school vice - captains. I trust you enjoy their pieces as much as I did!

The world through a dog’s perspective.

A surge of lonesome shards compresses me, as footsteps come and go. Not even a glimmer of sunlight could discern me. The feeling of despondence has rendered me of self-confidence. “Why, why am I so different!” “Being three legged, maybe I’m just not good enough.”

Just that instant I heard faint distant chattering, I was way to relegated to even show any sign of attention. Until I heard Roman. Immediately my despondence left me as I turned in excitement.

“Here, here, I’m here!” I screamed.

My life would change forever! Possibilities fill my mind, as I get ready to meet my new family. An indescribable feeling erupted in me while she proceeded to approach me. Just when I thought I was certain, I felt irresolute as she reached out above me. Before I knew it, she walked out of the door with someone else. I’m left there forsaken as I wonder why I thought I would ever get adopted.

I wake up as an array of footsteps reached my conscience. I get a hold of my senses as I see a tall, blond haired lady approach me with a shiny name tag reading Gesele. My fate was inevitable until she reached out for my door. A feeling that I was stripped of has found me well, as the gates to an unknown paradise have been released. The overwhelming sensation has captured my soul. I’m on cloud nine as I cavort towards Gesele, jumping in her warm arms tears of joy dance their way down surreptitiously. The love that has been brought to me by my new family has shown me something I have never experienced ……….. unconditional love.
