Call for Performers – Eltham Festival 2026

We have a fantastic opportunity for emerging local artists to perform at the Eltham Festival on 14 November 2026.

We're hosting a dedicated Open Mic Stage and are looking for solo performers, duos, acoustic acts, singer-songwriters, and up-and-coming musicians who would love the chance to perform in front of a live festival audience.

Please share this opportunity with your networks, students, friends, and local musicians. If you know someone who would be a great fit, we'd love to hear from them.

The Eltham Festival is a well-loved community event that attracts thousands of visitors each year and provides a valuable platform for local artists to gain performance experience, build confidence, and connect with new audiences.

Screening of Forest Country and Fire Science Presentation - Wednesday 12 August

This special extended cut of Forest Country includes new footage and additional interviews.

Following the film, there will be a presentation and panel discussion with leading fire behaviour scientist Adjunct Associate Professor Dr Philip Zylstra.

Dr Philip Zylstra will present current research on planned burning, forest disturbance and bushfire risk

Research shows that broadscale planned burning is not only damaging to climate, human health and the environment, but is also ineffective in reducing extreme bushfire risk. Studies have also shown that the flush of shrubs that follows prescribed burning can increase long-term fire severity.
