EHS Extend

EHS Extend

In Term 1 invited students from the EHS Extend group took part in the ACER Advance Awards, this competition challenges students to apply their knowledge and skills beyond the curriculum in both Numeracy and Literacy at an advanced level. We would like to congratulate Leon Coetsee for achieving a High Distinction and Edward Lowe and Heath Watson for achieving a Distinction in the competition. These achievements are a testament to the performance of these students across both domains and we are proud to recognise their achievements.

At the end of Term 2, EHS Extend students took part in a workshop run by Soul Sonics and their compositions have been shared with us this week. Students in the group are writing poems inspired by the soundtracks that they have created. These poems will be entered into the Red Room Poem Forrest Competition next month. This will be a project that sits at the intersection of poetry and music.

Lots happening in this space at the moment with students in the senior years applying for their VCE Enhancement subjects, and Higher Education Studies (HES) first-year university subjects for 2027.
