Wellbeing

Daylight Savings
Every year when daylight savings starts or ends, it can take a while for our bodies to adjust. We get caught up in the fun of extended days, especially in the beautiful weather. Sometimes, before you know it, you have looked at the time and realised it's 8:00pm, you haven't had dinner and the kids are still running around outside!
It is so important that we make sure we set and stick to our routines. Make the kids eat their fruit and vegies and get to bed at a reasonable hour - and make sure you do that for yourself as well! That way we can set our families up to be fresh, rested and ready to learn every day for school.
Wellbeing Results
I am so proud of the results of our School Performance Report - Wellbeing for this year. We have focused on creating a calm, orderly learning environment where all of our students, staff and families feel safe and happy. The team has developed a wellbeing approach over the past 2.5 years to support this, and the results are shining through. Our focus on our vision and values, commitment to School Wide Positive Behaviour Support, connections to community and our weekly wellbeing education sessions are all helping us to support happy, healthy children who feel safe and can learn.
The report below shows that we are above or well above similar schools in our percentage positive endorsement, and we have been ideniftied as a "high" performing school in the Wellbeing Domain.
Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships Curriculum
To start the term, our students will be revising the "Help Seeking" topic in this curriculum. Students will be talking about who is in their network, who they can seek help from and how, and how to help others.
Our 3-5 class will also be talking about Stress Management, helping them to build skills in resilience, problem solving and self care.
