Years F - 2

We have had a very positive start to Term 2. This week has been focused on re-establishing classroom routines, expectations, and helping students settle back into their learning after the break. It has been wonderful to see students return with such a positive attitude and readiness to learn.

We have a busy and exciting term ahead, with many engaging learning experiences planned. This includes an upcoming excursion to the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre to see Where is the Green Sheep? More information about this excursion will be shared in the coming weeks.

New home readers and fluency strips will be sent home today. Students will receive new books each Friday, and we encourage regular reading at home to support the development of confidence, fluency, and comprehension skills.

Show and Tell will begin next week, and students are very eager to get started. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to build confidence in speaking and listening, as well as sharing something meaningful with their classmates.

Cross Country was a highlight of the week. It was fantastic to see students trying their very best, showing persistence, and running with such enthusiasm and joy around the track. We were very proud of their efforts and positive sportsmanship.
