Assistant Principal

Hello Mitcham Community!
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the very warm welcome you have given me over the past few weeks. It has been my absolute pleasure to get to know you and become a part of the incredible community that Mitcham is. What a fabulous community it is!
I have been struck by the friendliness of all the children and their willingness to engage in conversation with me. It has been truly lovely. Thank you for your patience as I have become quicker at mastering the gates and for answering my many questions as I have been learning where everything is – including finding where the flagpole is!!!!
It has been a very busy few weeks! I have enjoyed going round to each classroom and observing the incredible teachers in action as well as watching the children so engaged in their learning. I have loved being on Playground Support and having the children run up to me with stories. It has been a pleasure to be part of the assemblies each week and see the children present and perform. I’ve enjoyed coaching the boy’s netball team and seeing them work together. What a highlight it was to see all the gorgeous ‘oldies’ celebrating 100 Days Of School! These are just a few of the amazing things I’ve been privileged to be a part of! It has been a fabulous beginning to Term 3 and I’m extremely grateful to all of you for being so kind, warm and welcoming! THANK YOU!
I’m looking forward to the upcoming weeks as well. With the production, 3-Way Conferences, the Community Connection Afternoon and Bookweek (just to name a few events) there is so much happening here to be a part of.
I hope you have had a wonderful week and please come and introduce yourself when you get a chance!
Take care
