Book Week

Our whole school book character dress-up parade is approaching fast - scheduled for Thursday the 21st of August at 9:30 am.

If your child has not already chosen their favourite book and character, please help them with this as soon as possible. 

Children are encouraged to be creative by using items already in the home - no need to spend any money.  If their favourite book is about an everyday kid - then come as that character in ordinary clothes - just be ready with a quote, trinket or information about your current adventure to share with your friends. Children will need to bring their book on the day.  They will also need to prepare a few sentences to share during the parade. A note regarding this will come home. 

As this is a celebration of books and reading, no prizes will be presented for costumes. Don’t overthink it - keep it simple and be prepared. ;) 

PS - younger siblings and preschool friends are also encouraged to attend this event with parents - all of whom are welcome to dress up ;)
