Kinder/Year 1

As many of our families would know, the 100 Days of School celebration is a much-loved tradition in our K/1 room at All Saints. It marks the 100th day of learning for kindergarten this year. This milestone provides a wonderful opportunity for both students and teachers to pause, reflect, and celebrate the learning journey so far. It’s a chance to acknowledge the hard work, growth, and achievements that have taken place, with a special emphasis on the progress of our youngest learners.

Last week, K/1 joyfully celebrated this important occasion with a special day filled with fun, engaging activities all centred around the number 100. It began with a fashion parade of our 100 themed t-shirts and the rest of the day was filled with excitement and laughter.

Beyond the fun, the celebration also reinforced key learning areas. In mathematics, students practised counting to 100, skip counting by tens, and recognising what a collection of 100 looks like. Literacy was woven into the day through writing prompts, stories, and oral language inspired by the theme of 100. It was a wonderful way to integrate learning across subjects while making meaningful memories.

We are so proud of how far our kindergarten students have come in their first 100 days. Of course, we can’t miss this opportunity to thank our students' first teachers, their parents. Your children are where they are today thanks to the incredible start you have given them and the support you have provided since they started school. We look forward to continuing this journey of growth and discovery together.
