School Wide Positive Behaviour Support
Attendance Competition
We are excited to announce that Omnia has generously funded Gnarly Neighbours to deliver 10 periods over two days of skateboarding sessions at our school.
To make the most of this opportunity, we have decided to run an an attendance competition for all classes and Home Groups. The 10 classes with the highest attendance, measured from this week through to the end of Week 8, will each receive a Gnarly Neighbours skateboarding session on either Tuesday 8 September or Wednesday 9 September (Week 9).
This initiative has created some excitement, while also recognising and reinforcing the importance of regular school attendance across our school community.

Book Week Parade - Friday 28 August
The theme for this year is 'Symphony of Stories'. The parade will be held on the Junior Basketball Court commencing at 9:15 am. Parents are welcome to attend.
Little Anglers – Learning Through Fishing!
Our Grade 5 students were excited to be selected to participate in the Victorian Government’s Little Angler Kits initiative, delivered through the Victorian Fisheries Authority.
As part of the initiative, 82,500 Little Angler Kits have been provided to primary-aged students across Victoria through participating schools. Our Grade 5 students were selected based on the Victorian Curriculum area of focus on movement and motor development, along with important safety considerations.
Each student received a free take-home fishing kit, which includes a fishing rod and reel with line, a tackle box containing hooks, lead-free sinkers, swivels and a lure, as well as a Fishing Guide for Kids.
The initiative provides students with an exciting opportunity to develop their fine and gross motor skills, coordination and movement skills through a fun, hands-on activity. It also encourages students to learn about fishing safety and responsible fishing practices.
Our students were thrilled to receive their kits and are looking forward to putting their new skills into practice. We hope this initiative inspires our students to get outdoors, spend time with family and enjoy learning a new skill.

Fishing Kit Success
One of our grade 5 students, Cody M, took his new fishing rod for a fish and was hugely successful! Look at the size of the fish he caught! Please send through any pictures of you and your catch to Ms Foster.
