Friday Work Placement
VCE VM students undertaking work experience in the automotive industry have gained valuable hands-on learning opportunities in a real workplace environment. Many students have enjoyed the practical nature of the experience, particularly working with tools, observing skilled technicians, and understanding how vehicles are serviced and maintained. The placement has helped build confidence, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while strengthening their understanding of workplace expectations. In the long term, this experience supports career exploration, helps students develop industry-relevant skills, and may lead to further training, apprenticeships, or employment pathways within the automotive sector.

Industry Excursion – Early Childhood Education and Care
Senior students recently participated in an excursion to Glen Education in Cheltenham, Nola Barber Kindergarten and Holmesglen Institute to explore and investigate the world of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Throughout the day, students gained valuable insight into the industry by observing childcare and early learning environments, learning about the responsibilities of educators, and exploring potential study and career pathways within the sector. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with industry professionals and educators about their experiences, qualifications, and the skills required to work in early childhood settings.
The excursion provided students with a meaningful hands-on learning experience and helped strengthen their understanding of future training and employment opportunities within the growing childcare industry.
