Hello everyone,

This October, Jells Park Primary School is getting behind One Foot Forward to help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide — and we’d love for our JPPS families to get involved!

One Foot Forward is a virtual walking and movement challenge held throughout October for Mental Health Month. It’s a national campaign bringing people together to take positive steps for mental health and show those experiencing mental illness that they are not alone.

We would LOVE to see JPPS students, families and staff joining our team and getting active together! You can choose a goal that suits you — 40km, 60km, 100km, 150km or whatever distance works for you — and walk, run, ride or move your way through October.

It’s a great opportunity to get moving as a family, encourage each other and be part of something that supports an incredibly important cause.

If you’re unable to take part, you can sponsor our JPPS team with a donation of any amount. Every contribution helps us support the Black Dog Institute and their work to turn mental health research into real-life solutions — from early intervention in schools to suicide prevention programs.

So whether you join us, get moving with your family, or simply make a donation, we'd love to have you involved!
