District Cross Country

A Celebration of Effort and Team Spirit!

We are incredibly proud of our cross country team, who represented our school with pride, determination, and true sportsmanship at the recent District Cross Country.

Each and every runner gave their absolute best, pushing through the challenges with courage and commitment.

Everyone should be very proud of their performances and the way they represented our school community.

A special congratulations goes to Evie S, Cleo U, Milana S, Gwen S, Scarlett H-W, Amelie L, Alexis S, Elena D, Mea G, Ava A, Rafferty T, and Connor B. who all performed exceptionally well and have qualified for the next round – Division at Hastings!

What an outstanding achievement!

ISS Sports Practice Match

This week, our students took part in an exciting Interschool Sports practice match against Frankston Heights Primary School.

It was a fantastic morning filled with energy, determination, and a strong sense of school spirit. Whether it was on the field, court, or pitch, every student represented our school with pride, teamwork, and enthusiasm.

Our teams showed great improvement, putting into practice the skills and strategies they’ve been developing over the term. It was particularly encouraging to see students supporting one another, showing resilience, and demonstrating great sportsmanship.

This match served as a valuable warm-up as we look ahead to the upcoming Round Robin Tournament.

With a week’s break now to rest and refocus, our students will return refreshed and ready to give their best in the competition on Wednesday 11th of June where our Soccer and AFL teams will head to Ballam Park and Netball teams travel to Jubilee Park to compete against all the other schools in our District.

Well done to all who participated, and thank you to the staff and families who continue to support our sporting program.

We look forward to the next challenge—go team!

As part of our Inquiry unit about Earths Resources, the Grade 1and 2 cohort headed off to the Gould League in Cheltenham . We engaged in lots of fun hands on learning including finding worms in the soil, shrinking to be inside a compost bin with a big hairy spider and learning about the recycling process.

It was a great day!
