Saints & Spoons Café: A Monday Morning Retreat
We are excited to introduce a new tradition to kickstart your week—Saints & Spoons Café, our school's very own parent café, opening every Monday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Kids' Kitchen.
Why Saints & Spoons?
Inspired by the idea of gathering around the table, much like the saints who shared meals and fellowship, Saints & Spoons Café offers a warm and welcoming space for parents to connect, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea before the school day begins.
What to Expect
- Coffee & Tea: Enjoy a selection of freshly brewed hot beverages.
- Pastries & Treats: Savour a variety of baked goods.
- Community Connection: Meet fellow parents, share stories, and build lasting friendships within our school community.
For our first café, we will have freshly made scones on offer with coffee or tea for $3.
A Space for All
Whether you're a first-time parent or a seasoned school veteran, Saints & Spoons Café is a space for everyone. It's a place to unwind, share experiences, and start the week with a smile.
We look forward to seeing you there every Monday morning.
Lunch Clubs
We've had an exciting time in our lunchtime clubs recently – especially with our Lunchtime Clubs Dance Party! A big thank you to everyone who joined in the fun. The energy was fantastic, the music was pumping, and it was great to see so many students dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves!
Alongside the dance fun, our other clubs have been buzzing with creativity and concentration. The Chess Club continues to challenge minds, Colouring Club offers a calm and creative space, and our Loom bands Club is producing some very impressive designs! The Choir have also been raising the roof with their voices at lunch times and we are eagerly awaiting their performance. Fortunately, the weather has also allowed the ever-popular Gardening Club to be on offer every second lunch time on Tuesdays to Fridays - even Ziggy made an appearance!
Let's not forget Miss N's Lego Masters Club. This fortnight, the Lego fans created 'Wonders of Nature'. We can't wait to see what creations will be made next fortnight!
We’re also excited to announce a new timetable for our lunchtime clubs, offering even more variety and making sure everyone gets a chance to join in. The updated schedule (pictured below) will be displayed around school and in each classroom.
Happy Families
Thank you to the families who have provided some valuable feedback. It's great to hear that you are appreciating the articles being shared in the newsletter. The two articles shared this fortnight have got some great tips to help you to help your child. "The Liking Gap: Helping Kids Feel More Confident in Friendships" provides insights into what some children may be thinking about themselves. The suggested conversation starters are well worth trying. Our next article, "How Do I Know If My Child Needs Help? The Three Ds Every Parent Should Know", offers a framework that can be used to identify when to seek additional support by considering the three Ds - Distress, Dysfunction Deviation. Understanding these 3 Ds may assist with knowing how to guide your children when they need it most.
If you would like to provide some feedback please email your thoughts to: admin@safranksth.catholic.edu.au
