Principal's Report

Dear St A’s Community,
As always a very busy 2 weeks at St A's. We are half way through term 2 now and hasn't it gone so quickly!
Just a reminder that there will be no school on Friday and its a public holiday for next Monday as well, so a long weekend for all! It will be a great opportunity to spend some familiy time together. I am looking forward to a weekend free of kids sport and relaxation!
Prep 2026 enrolments
To all the families that have submitted a sibling enrolment, please note that all siblings enrolments that have been submitted have been accepted and will be able to begin at St A’s for Prep in 2026. I will begin to visit all of the new prep students for 2026 at their Kinder and Day care centres beginning in Term 3. Reminder that the Prep transitions will begin later on in Term 4. This year we had 21 sibling enrolments, so that is an amazing number of families!
We have had an over whelming response to our intake for Prep 2026 and again will be having 3 classes joining our wonderful community. From little things big things grow! This increase in enrolments is due to all of the wonderful work and offereings that we provide at St A's. We are truly blessed with the amazing community that we have and share together!
This week, we acknowledge National Reconciliation Week. The dates of 27th May and 3rd June commemorate two significant milestones in the nation’s reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Running Club!
Its been great to see so many of our families and students participating in our Tuesday morning Running club! If you can make it, bring your child/ren to school at 8:00am on a Tuesday morning. Students recieve 10 house points per lap - who knows we might even do double points again for this week!! Parents can collect points for their child/ren's house as well! I especially encourage all of our Dorrong families to come down!!!
Saints and Spoons Cafe! Student led and student run!
See the wellbeing page for our new school initiative and join us Monday morning from 9:00am to 10:00am!
Show Grace, Be the joy for others and God Bless.
