Prep

Term 1 is all about settling in, making friends and finding our feet at school. Our Prep students have made a brilliant start and are already showing just how ready they are for learning. We’ve jumped straight into early reading and writing through stories, talk, play, drawing and name writing, while building confidence as communicators.

In numeracy, we’re exploring numbers and will next be looking at shapes in the world around us. Still to come will be patterns and hands-on measuring.

We’re also spending time learning about feelings, practising friendly behaviours and building positive relationships with one another.

In Chinese, students are being introduced to new words, characters and cultural learning, including celebrating Chinese New Year this week. The Preps especially enjoyed the special lion dance performance!

It’s already a busy, joyful term, full of curiosity, connection and learning. A wonderful start to the year! Well done Preps!
