Years 1 & 2

What’s happening at 1/2 this term
We are looking forward to a busy and exciting term ahead!
We’ve had a wonderful start to the year in Year 1/2, reconnecting with one another and re-establishing our classroom routines. It has been a delight to see students arriving happily each day, demonstrating kindness and working and playing together so cooperatively. Homework and Home Learning
Thank you for your continued support at home!
Regular home reading is one of the most valuable ways you can support your child’s learning. Students are expected to:
- Read for at least 20 minutes each night (in English or Chinese)
- Record their daily reading in their diary
- Complete homework set by their classroom teacher
The diary provides an authentic reason to write each evening and helps build confidence. Diaries have already been home with the first homework.
Homework and home reading comes back to school for English every WEDNESDAY. New homework and reading goes home every THURSDAY.
Students will have access to:
- Epic
- My Literacy
- My Numeracy
- Sunset Maths
- Jetpack Algebra
- Nessy (coming soon!)
