Essentially Ellington Festival

The Big Band had a fantastic time at this year’s Essentially Ellington Festival. The event was a huge success, with the band performing Caravan, Blues for New Orleans and Flight of the Foo Bird to an enthusiastic audience.

We were especially fortunate to work with Vince Gardiner from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in New York. Vince gave the band valuable feedback, shared his expertise, and even showed us how to dig deeper into the feel and style of the blues. It was an inspiring experience that will stay with our musicians for a long time.
