In Performing Arts in the last few weeks, we have:
Watched and listened to the wonderful harmonies of the Coconut Song:


Listened to the versatility of the guitar:


Reviewed some strange musical instruments:


Foundation students have been learning about Sound stories, Beat Patterns and Beat Symbols.
Year 1 students have been learning about Beat and Rhythms and looking at new beat patterns.
The focus of Year 2 classes has been on Pitch and Melody with Ostinato patterns.
Rhythm, Raps, Rhymes and playing in threes and fours have been a feature of our Year 3 classes.
Year 4’s ha been exploring Rhythms, Rhymes and Riffs via Calypso Music.
Year 5 and 6 students have been examining Pacific Harmonies focussing on vocal harmonies and movement.
At the end of Term 2, Black Rock Primary School Glee Club Choir will be performing at Beaumaris Secondary School - details are in the Art section of this newsletter. We will soon start rehearsing songs with our enthusiastic Glee Club members.
