Girls Division Netball Team

The girl's netball team competed today at Springers Leisure centre. We played 3 games - our first game against Parkdale was very rough and we lost 7-12. 

Our second match we were just out played by Chelsea Heights and they beat us 11-19. Chelsea Heights went on to win the entire competition, so we did fairly well against them. Our last game we had a convincing win over Mentone girls' grammar and left the court elated with our win and we stepped up and had fun. 

Well done girls you made me proud! 

Special thanks to Sam (Freya’s mum) and Trent (Lexie’s dad) for driving the team and also for both helping with the scoring. 

Thanks to all the other parents who came along and supported myself and the girls. 

Boys Division Netball Team

Well done to the boy's netball team today at Jubilee Park. 

The first game against St Patrick’s we dominated winning 17-4.  Unfortunately, in our second game against Aspendale gardens-we came up against a very well drilled mixed team who had a calm and controlled manner of play, getting us a little frazzled and we went down by 5 goals. We recovered in our last game against Southmoor to win 17-2. Our heads are held high with great sportsmanship throughout and some really good netball moments of play. Watch the lines boys and your feet!! 

Aspendale gardens went on to win the tournament, so we finished 3rd overall in the two pools combined. 

Special thanks to Chris (Cormac’s dad) and Michael (Zacs dad) for driving students to and from game and helping out as team scorers. Thank you to all the other parents who came and supported the team. Much appreciated.
