Hot Air Balloon Display

After months of incredible focus and creativity our long- term hot air balloon project has finally reached its grand finale! The students have worked step by step through the entire process, designing their concepts, applying multiple layers of paper mache over several weeks, painting their unique patterns and carefully attaching their baskets underneath.

The finished balloons are now on display around the OSHC room and they look absolutely fantastic! A huge congratulations to all our creative engineers for their patience and hard work!

Cooking Club

Our Cooking Club has been busy the last few weeks! The students have enjoyed rolling up their sleeves, working in teams and most importantly tasting their delicious creations. Together they have whipped up fresh tomato bruschetta, healthy bliss balls and flavourful homemade guacamole.

We are always on the hunt for new recipes or ideas for Cooking Club (particularly no bake recipes or dishes that can be made in a small air fryer), so if you have a recipe you’d like to share, please do let us know.

Keeping out Students Safe

Our Uncompromising Commitment.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple, non- negotiable priority: the safety, wellbeing and protection of every child in our care. Building a safe environment isn’t just about following rules, it’s an active, daily commitment from our entire team and community.

Here are some of the ways we at OSHC are actively upholding child safety standards across our program:

  • Comprehensive Staff Training: To ensure our team is equipped with the highest standard of knowledge all staff members complete the Early Childhood and School modules for Mandatory Reporting on an annual ongoing basis. Additionally, the entire team has completed the national Foundations for Child Safety training.

  • Ongoing Leadership Education: Keeping our students safe requires continuous learning. Our leadership team regularly attends dedicated webinars and professional development sessions to stay up to date with best practices and evolving safety standards.

  • Empowering Student Voice: Safety also means giving students a voice. During our regular children’s meetings, child safety is a core focus. We encourage student leadership, teaching students that they have a right to express their thoughts, feel heard and actively participate in making our program a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

Completing these modules and training programs is essential, but for us, child safety is far more than a one-off task or a box to tick. We are immensely proud that child safety sits at the absolute forefront of our culture, it is a value we live, breathe and practice every single day!

Cancellation Policy / Absences

Please be reminded of our Cancellation policy: “Permanent and booked care shall be charged at the full fee unless prior written notice of at least 8 days is given to advise of a cancellation, or a doctor’s certificate within 48 hours is supplied to the coordinator.

If no cancellation is received or cancellations are made after the specified time, the fee for the session will be charged. Persistent cancellations or cancellations for an extended period may jeopardise the child’s permanent place in the program.

Please also note that if your child is home from school or sent home from school during the day and you let us at OSHC know prior to the session start time, we will not charge you the fee for the session. Please ensure you email oshc@beaumarisnorthps.vic.edu.au or by phoning 9589 3699 or 0400 516 231
