Principal's Report

Kaylene Kubeil

Principal for a Day

This Wednesday we were delighted to welcome Wade as our Principal for a Day, stepping into the role. From the moment he arrived, Wade took his responsibilities seriously, beginning the day in the Years 3-6 Assembly, then visiting classrooms to see learning in action and to check that our rooms are all neat and organised. He demonstrated excellent leadership and was supported by his appointed Assistant Principal, Lachlan. Both students showed respect and a strong commitment to our school values of Respect Your School, Do Your Best, and Help Others Succeed.

We thank Wade (and Lachlan) for their outstanding contribution and leadership. We are very proud of the way they represented our school.

Building the Capacity of Our Leaders!

Congratulations to Ms Zoe Dyer and Ms Madison Merritt, who have successfully completed the Department of Education’s 'Inspire' leadership program, an outstanding achievement as they continue to grow their impact at Whittlesea Primary School. Inspire is a four-month program designed to support highly effective teachers to step into school leadership. Throughout the course, participants develop a clear leadership identity, strengthen their interpersonal skills, and build the confidence to lead meaningful change aligned to school priorities. The program also focuses on emotional intelligence, effective communication, and fostering strong professional relationships, while connecting participants with a wider network of educators.

Ms Dyer and Ms Merritt have engaged in workshops, applied their learning in practice, and presented their own school improvement journeys. Their commitment to professional growth and leadership development is commendable, and we look forward to the continued positive impact they will have across our school community. Well Done!
