Kitchen

What a busy and wonderful few weeks it’s been in our school kitchen!

We’ve just wrapped up our Extended Cooking program with our Grade 5 and 6 students.

The Grade 5s finished with delicious dumplings, and the Grade 6s impressed us all with a beautiful birthday sponge cake and a hearty lasagne. Both the principals and I were blown away by the students’ teamwork, kitchen skills, and confidence — such a fantastic effort from everyone involved!

Our Preps popped into the kitchen, and it was so cute watching them bake and decorate their cupcakes. The Grade 3s had a blast making their own pizzas, and the Grade 4s whipped up tasty choc chip muffins.

We also had a lovely going away party for Miss Mills! The Grade 5s each made something different at every kitchen bench to celebrate her as she heads off on a well-deserved holiday break. It was such a special way to send her off — with plenty of delicious food and happy smiles all round.

Our Grade 6s returned for another kitchen session, creating colourful burrito bowls with rice and Mexican salad — they looked fantastic!

Meanwhile, our Kids in the Kitchen program is still going strong, with the group recently baking choc chip muffins that filled the kitchen with the most amazing smell.

🌱 In our kitchen garden, we’ve just planted some broccoli and everything is looking fresh and healthy, ready for the next round of seasonal cooking.
