1. BJR exchange to Germany – for Years 9 & 10 students learning German
Three of our current Year 10 German students will travel to Germany at the end of 2026 on the reciprocal Bavarian Youth Ring Exchange Program. We are currently hosting their German host siblings – Ida, Simona and Marlen.
Expressions of interest are now being called for the next round of exchange and close at the end of Term 1 2026.

2. SAGSE scholarship opportunity for students learning German in Years 10, 11, 12
If your family is prepared to host a German student for 10 weeks this year, you will have a strong chance of receiving one of the prestigious SAGSE scholarships on offer when you are in Years 11 and 12.

3. Year 7 German classes celebrate Karneval
Classes learnt about the festival, Karneval or Fasching, which was celebrated a few weeks ago. One of the main reasons to celebrate is to drive out the winter and welcome spring. It is held 40 days prior to Easter. Some students made scary masks to hide their identity and to frighten others!
