My apologies

I am sorry this newsletter is a day late. We have a number of staff unwell at the moment, and I have been backfilling classes.

Prep page will be super amazing next week, when Mrs McBride is feeling better.

Camps and Sleepovers

It's a busy term for us with our 3/4 and 5/6 camp and our Year 2 sleepover. A huge thanks to all of the staff who work so hard to bring these events together and provide lots of memorable moments for our students. We are very lucky to have the students we do, and this was reinforced by lots of positive comments from venues our 3/4s visited on their Ballarat Experience camp, and the smiling faces at the year 2 Sleep In. We wish our 5/6s all the best as they head off for three days in Lorne!

Special Person's Breakfast

Thanks to all of the family members who helped to organise and run last week's Special Person's Breakfast and to all of those who attended. Thanks also to Bendigo Bank for providing the coffee cart on the morning. It's always a proud moment seeing our students sharing our school with people who are special to them.

Lego League Competition

Good luck to some of our Year 5/6 students who will be heading off to ACU next week to compete in the Ballarat Lego League. These students have been working hard to design, build and problem solve together and will get to put their skills to the test against other local schools. We wish them all the best.

Beaufort Agricultural Show

The Beaufort Agricultural Show is on this Sunday from 9:30am-4:30pm and is one of the biggest events on our calendar. Not only is it one of the most exciting events for our families, it is also one of the biggest fundraisers for our school. Thanks to all of those who have either donated goods for the BBQ or volunteered their time. Make sure you head to the canteen at the club rooms to pick up breakfast or lunch. For more information, see the separate page in this week's newsletter.

Congratulations Ruby

Last week, Ruby competed at the State Athletics Primary School competition. Ruby ran a PB, beating her already amazingly fast 200m time by another 0.6 seconds. Well done, Ruby, we are super proud of you.

Class Structure for 2026

Unfortunately, in 2026, we will be dropping a class due to a decline in student numbers.

The class structure will be

1x Prep

1x Year 1/2

1 x Year 2/3

1 x Year 4

2 x Year 5/6

I am still working through the staffing structure and are still unsure who will be teaching which year level. This will be communicated with the community in early December.

It is at this time of year, that parents who would like me to consider any social needs of their child, should put these considerations in an email by the end of November. I do not consider specific requests for teachers, as I believe I have a very competent collection of teachers.
