Pink Ribbon day

Breast Cancer Awareness
Our staff came together for a special Pink Ribbon Lunch, to help raise awareness and support breast cancer research.
A huge thank you to Voula for organising such a wonderful event filled with great food, laughter and community spirit. We’re proud to share that a total of $2359 was raised for the Pink Ribbon Foundation this year!
October was Breast Cancer Month, and pink becomes Australia’s favourite colour! The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is all about friends and fundraising, wearing a ribbon and funding research for prevention and cure.
The event gave our school the opportunity to raise money for people affected by cancer. The money raised will help the NBCF fund crucial research and treatment, implement education and prevention programs and provide essential support services for cancer patients and their families.
The day would not have been possible without the support of staff, our Glenroy students and families and the following local businesses who donated food and beverages for our fundraising event.
- Sargent’s Cakes
- Glenroy Kebab House
- Krispy Kreme Fawkner
- Glenroy Chicken Machine
- Marcel’s on West
- My Mates Pizza Glenroy
- Dominos Pizza Glenroy
Every year the generosity of the Glenroy community is overwhelming. I thank each and every one of you! Voula
