Principal's Message

I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting as many students, staff, parents and community members as possible during the past two weeks. I am truly grateful for the warm welcome I have received and for the willingness of our young people to share their individual stories with me. It has been a privilege to listen, to learn and to begin building relationships across our wonderful College community.

These are some of my early observations of All Saints’ College:

  • Our students are outstanding. They have a genuine zest for life, they are humble, and they demonstrate a deep appreciation for the opportunity to attend All Saints’ College. I have been struck by their confidence, their warmth, and the respectful way they engage with one another and with staff.

  • Our staff are exceptional. Our teachers and support staff are experts in their fields, and they are creating engaging, purposeful learning environments in which students can thrive. There is a clear sense of care, professionalism and commitment that underpins everything they do.

  • The cocurricular opportunities available to our students are remarkable. From sport to music, service to clubs and leadership, the breadth of choice is extraordinary. I only wish I had half the activities to choose from when I was at school! These experiences complement classroom learning and allow students to discover passions, develop talents and build lifelong skills.

  • Our Outdoor Learning Program is very impressive. Students participate in a carefully sequenced program of experiences that allow them to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence. These moments beyond the classroom are formative; they challenge students to step outside their comfort zones and return stronger, more self-aware and more connected to their peers.

One moment last week perfectly captured the spirit of this place. I was touring visitors around the College and, as we entered the auditorium in the Centre for Performing Arts, the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra happened to be rehearsing on stage. Wow! Just another day at All Saints’ College. The look on our visitors’ faces said it all. We are incredibly fortunate to provide our students with access to such inspiring experiences.

Pasar Malam

What an outstanding evening! Pasar Malam was community building at its absolute best. The energy, colour and vibrancy were palpable. Our students proudly showcased their musical talents, stalls were buzzing, rides and games brought laughter and excitement, and the food was simply superb. Most importantly, it was a joyful celebration of culture and connection. Events like Pasar Malam strengthen the bonds between families, staff and students, and remind us of the richness and diversity that define our College.

Coffee Catch Ups – Wanju Café

I am also looking forward to commencing our Principal Coffee Catch Ups for parents in Wanju Café, beginning on 11 March. These informal gatherings are an opportunity to connect, ask questions, share ideas and simply say hello. I warmly invite you to come along. I would genuinely value the opportunity to meet you and to continue learning more about our community.

It is a busy and exciting start to the year, and I am deeply grateful to be part of it.

All the best
