ATHLETICS

Region Athletics .

We had 2 student winners and multiple placetters.

Hope Vili and Divine Vili were our 2 State qualifiers – Hope winning the 16yrs discus and shot put and Divine winning the 17ys shot put (unfortunately he did not repeat his Division discus throw, he still finished 2nd but the throw was 10m less than the Division throw (which would have won the Region event easily).

Placegetters –

Jayde Young - 2nd x 4 times

Whitiora Kilmartin – (in a very high performing age group) -a 2nd and a 3rd

Blessing Tanuvasa – a 2nd

Dwain Tavita – a 3rd

Patrick Buehrig- Calkin – a 3rd

Precious Dawo and Tyler Vanotti were just outside the placegetters and Sebastian Dellosa and Jack Johnson found it tough at their first go at this level.
