Casey Tech School Excursion

This week, we took part in a one-day excursion to Casey Tech School. We participated in the "Design Prototype" course where we were able to have first-hand experience in creating a mousetrap car. We began by constructing our initial prototype learning how to apply different ideas to produce the best results.

Throughout the day we continued to refine our prototypes, identifying the type of car we wanted to make and the best way to achieve this. This process helped us develop problem solving abilities while helping us understand the effects of a good design.

We were split into groups for this project where we were able to collaborate and share ideas to apply our input into the final product. Our group was able to cooperate effectively to make a working car that could travel long distances. By the end we had a better understanding of the design process. Overall, this excursion was a really engaging experience that showed us how innovation is used in a real-world scenario.
