Principal's Reports

Principal - Ms. Jenny Dowsett

Casual Relief Teachers (CRT's):

There are a number of reasons we require CRT's to support our school, including when teachers are unwell, attending Professional Development or completing assessments with children. It can help us greatly if parents reinforce the message that children still need to do their learning and show our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience to all adults within our school. When we are unable to access CRT's, students are given independent work to complete in a split classroom or are expected to complete the work being done in the split classroom. We try to avoid this situation as much as possible but there are times when CRT's are not available.

Late Drop Offs:

A reminder to parents that if you are dropping your child off late they need to be signed in at the office and then a staff member will walk your child to class. We do this for a number of reasons including child safety (limiting additional adults in the school during learning time) and for ease of seperation (it is often much easier for school staff to walk in a student who is late). Ideally all students will arrive on time and ready for Morning Circle at 9am, which helps with connection to their peers and teachers.

Food Cubes:

Our new Food Cubes have arrived. Thanks to Parents and Friends for receiving a grant for this. Adrian Gatti is in the process of setting them up and then they will be ready for planting. Any parents who have an interest in gardening are more than welcome to help us get these vegie garden beds established.

200 Nights Reading:

Well done to Sammi, Levi and Amelia who received their prizes from completing 200 nights of reading.
