School Council News

Dear Readers, 

I am pleased to inform the school community that I have been nominated for and accepted the role of President of School Council. 

I have been a member of the Cheltenham Secondary College community since 2024 and have a Year 11 student. As a copywriter and business owner I have skills in communications, marketing and business management. A keen volunteer, I joined School Council in 2025.

A warm welcome to our two new members; Year 7 parents, Lyndal Schmidt and Rachel McRae. Thank you for generously volunteering your time to add your voice and input to Council.

This year we also welcome Daniel Maylis, who joins Ben Alexander as student members of Council. Thank you both for taking part as representatives of our student community.

I’d like to send our very best wishes to our Avenues students. We hope you had an amazing week away in Adelaide - thank you all for your efforts in training, competing and proudly representing Cheltenham.

Finally, all the best to students and teachers for the school holidays. Wishing you all a well-deserved break after another challenging term.
